Your Role Will Include:

• Diagnosing and repairing faults across a wide range of vehicles
• Routine servicing and maintenance to ensure vehicles run at their best
• Using advanced diagnostics tools to accurately identify issues
• Inspecting vehicles for safety and performance
• Working on brake systems, suspension, steering, exhausts, A/C, and more
• Carrying out ADAS calibrations and EV/Hybrid servicing (with full training if needed)
• Communicating clearly and helpfully with customers about their vehicle needs

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across a range of makes and models
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work

🚗 Apprentice Vehicle Technician 🚗

Are you passionate about cars? A quick learner who’s hands-on, detail-oriented, and ready to solve problems? This is your opportunity to start an exciting career in the automotive industry with a respected independent garage.

CGE Garage is a growing, customer-focused business with a reputation for honest service and quality workmanship. We’re looking for a Vehicle Technician Apprentice to join our team in Dyce, Aberdeen. You’ll be trained by our highly qualified team and gain the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to succeed in the motor industry.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

As an Apprentice Vehicle Technician, you’ll get involved in every aspect of servicing and maintaining vehicles, including:

• Servicing and inspecting vehicles
• Replacing parts such as brakes, exhausts, and suspension
• Diagnosing and repairing faults
• Learning how to use dealer-level diagnostic equipment
• Assisting with MOT preparation (Class 4 & 7)
• Keeping accurate records of your work

📘 What You’ll Learn:

You’ll complete a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) qualification over approximately 36 months. During this time, you will:

• Work full-time in our busy garage, learning hands-on from skilled professionals
• Build your knowledge of both mechanical and electronic systems
• Get a solid foundation for a long-term automotive career

• Able to demonstrate problem-solving ability and attention to detail

You should have (or expect to achieve):

• National 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science or a Technical subject
